Folks this is a deal, It was originally listed at over $835,000. The BANK foreclosed on it for more than $778,000. The bank is taking a huge loss for your client to get a smoking deal…. This is an “AS-IS “ PRICE, and CASH is KING…
Now offered at $595,000
Make an offer, you won’t hurt the banks feelings-
Market fact: In the last 5.5 years, there have only been 5 condos to sell at less than $290 a foot in downtown Telluride!
Bamboo flooring – Granite countertops – Amazing appliances. Needs paint and trim in many areas… as well as substantial deck work!

The summer is just flying by. Still lots of swimming, fishing, eating, running, hiking, biking, etc. Also, there are just so many things to do. Last night we went to the summer sunset concert series in the Mountain Village and the place was packed. The young and the not so young had a ball hula hooping and dancing and just twirling about; not to mention rolling down the hillside. There were lots of picnics and people chatting. Just another free party in Telluride.

On a sad note, Telluride loses a longtime local, Captain Jack. Everybody knew him and he will be missed. Jack could be seen skiing just about everyday of the ski season (perhaps even every day). He always had a smile and a hello for you. He was an avid outdoors-man and local icon. He embodied the Telluride Spirit. There will be a celebration of his life this Saturday from 1-3 p.m. in the Telluride Town Park. I am sure the place will be overflowing with people and their love of a man who touched the hearts of many.

Coming up is the Ahaa Art Auction on Friday July 24 starting with the Silent Auction at 5 pm and the live auction starting 7pm. The theme this year is “Be the Artist You Want to Be”. This is a great opportunity to pick up a Masterpiece. The Ahaa school is located at the Depot in Telluride.

My favorite festival has come and gone. The Telluride “Nothing Festival” was pure magic this year. What started as a “tongue in cheek” event has turned into the quintessential summer weekend in Telluride.

It started with an evening stroll with the kids to the town park. We found softball games in full swing, swings in full swing, bbq’s, 2 volley ball games, horse-shoes, et al. Kids and parents were all running around and there was a low roar of chatter and laughter. It was an all out summer evening in the park. My kids had a ball at the Imagination Station. Then we headed to the Sweet Life for ice cream.

Saturday found us swimming all day and the San Miguel County Fair and Rodeo that night. Many folks from Telluride were there donning their cowboy best. The kids had a blast watching the other kids “Mutton Bustin”; i.e. calf and sheep riding. We ended the night with the carnival style rides.

And the last day of our weekend of nothingness was spent with more swimming, reading the paper at the Steaming Bean, and my little Koto radio show. We had so much family fun this weekend, we forgot to go to the free, that’s right, free movie at the Nugget.

I love doing nothing.

There is nothing like the 4th of July in Telluride. The town is energized with people walking around and enjoying the weather and the flowers. The farmers market is bustling with customers stocking up for their bbq’s tomorrow. The weather is just unbeatable at 70 degrees and scattered clouds to keep us cool. I am so happy to be once again riding my bike around town to do my daily chores like going to the postoffice, bank, and market. Hiking season is in full swing and I can’t wait to hit some of my favorites like – Silver lake, Hope Lake, and Sneffel’s highline.

Tomorrow is the parade and the firemen’s bbq. The kids are all excited for fireworks and fun with the family. There is just nothing like fourth of July in Telluride.

It is that time of the year again in Telluride. People are walking about on mainstreet, cars are already lined up by the park and the bluegrass “festivarians” are starting to arrive. The summer kicked off with Mountain Film and then Jazz Festival and the Balloon Festival and now we are in full swing. I love the summer in Telluride and the steady stream of travelers.

It has been raining daily so bring your rain gear no matter what. Even if it is bluebird in the morning the Telluride monsoon season has set in. All this rain has made for the greenest Telluride I have seen in awhile. The mountains are snowcapped and all the trees and flowers are in full bloom. The scenery is truly spectacular. After more than a decade living here, I never grow tired of the views.
